Of Target and Pearls

So, since I'm taking a temporary cessation from posting daily outfits, I decided to show you my newest thrifting finds. 

During the month of October, my coffee shop is having a breast cancer fundraiser, so we get to wear pink. Which is cool, because I semi like pink, but I own nothing that is pink. However, Goodwill owns many things that are pink, so I went shopping and found this brand new Target top. Awesome. 

Speaking of Target...Is it just me, or does it seem ridiculously popular in BlogLand? I love shopping at Target, and I love clothes, but it irritates me a little bit to see people post about how cheap their clothes were because they were bought at Target rather than J.Crew and Anthropologie. I guess if you're used to spending a stupid amount of money on clothes, than Target would seem like a deal, but money is money is money. Whatever.

I've realized that this fall is going to be a tights fall, as witnessed here and here and here. So I was happy to find cheap tights.

And my last buy was this great statement necklace. I'm still not sure how much I like it, so I've had a hard time wearing it often, but I think I like it. It's one of those things that I'll have to make myself wear a few times to get used to it and then I can decide.

  1. I am used to getting my deals at thrift stores. I buy most of my clothes for a dollar. Which is way cheaper then the 12 dollar dress I bought on sale at Target. I am excited to wear it but it was out of my price range. In other words, I know what you mean about Target and money.

  2. When I lived in London I use to get all my deals in the thrift shops or the weekend market place. Now that I am back home in Trinidad... I am one of those who travel to the US to get clothes at Target :(
    When shopping for my kids I do try to get something that would last.
    I love the necklace, pearls are my birthstone so I would love it immediately and it was a great price.

    1. Yeah, I definitely agree that there's a huge difference in quality between cheap brands and nice brands. Sometimes it's worth it to spend a little extra money. I love it when I can find nice brands at thrift stores. That's the best! I love pearls too!

  3. Love the necklace! I haven't really been able to find any jewelry that I like yet. But sometimes I forget to look. Great find on the tights. I was just thinking yesterday that I need to find me some tights. My only problem is that I would need a tall (I'm almost 6 feet), and those are harder to come by at thrifts.

    I haven't gone thrifting in about 1 month and I think I'm going through withdrawal...LOL :)

    1. Thanks! I'm so jealous... I wished that I was tall my whole life! But sadly I quit growing at 5'4". Sad. Oh well. :)
